Flora: Conifers and seed ferns were dominant early on. Seed-bearing plants diversified. As Earth became more tropical, flowering plants and other tropical plants appeared.Fauna: The most prominant animal was reptiles, which gave rise to crocodilians, dinosaurs, and birds. Invertebrates and amphibians diversified as well. Later, the first mammals appeared.
