Description:

Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi who was soon named Sandro Botticelli was born in Florence and was one of the greatest Renaissance painters. Botiticelli’s main style, acquired from Filippo Lippi, was having different types of compositions, fancy costuming, linear sense of form, proportion and his original specific color schemes. He painted many genres of paintings but he mainly focused on devotional paintings. Recreating many catholic scenes and also mythological paintings. Botticelli was one of the earliest European artists that had survived. A big reason for this was because he was sponsored by the Medici family, one of the most powerful families during that time.
