Pope Leo X was a pope from the Medici family, he was the son of Lorenzo di Medici. he was born on December 11, 1475, in Florence, Italy
and he died on December 1, 1521, in Rome, Italy. He was famous for making Rome a cultural center and a political power. However, he depleted the papal treasury because he failed to acknowledge the reformation thus dissolutating the Western Church as well as excommunicating Martin Luther (monk).
