The reformation of the church was an event that began with Martin Luther creating his 95 theses on what was wrong with the church. This caught the attention of many people who wanted to join his cause. One of the main things that people saw wrong with the church was the idea of indulgences. These was things you could buy that pretty much gave you a free pass into heaven no matter what you did. People thought that this was very ungodly and sought to change this by creating a new church. This was called the protestant movement, and many new churches were created such the Methodists, Baptists, Luteranists, and others.Added to timeline:
