“Jefe Máximo de la revolución”. During his presidency the famous Guerra Cristera happens, he created the Banco de México, the first airline, he built roads and did many other things, but in fact Calles was another dictator from 1928 to 1934. This period of time became known as "el maximato", when Calles ruled the country for some years re-electing himself and putting "presidents" of his preference in order to control them and ultimately remain in power.Added to timeline:
