Guido's Notation Scheme Developed (jan 1, 1001 – jan 1, 1050)
Description:
Guido of Arezzo (ca. 991-after 1033) pioneered this new notation strategy. He used a red line of ink for F and a yellow line for C, scratching the other lines in the parchment. This is the precursor to our modern system.
