Constitutional Convention held (may 14, 1787 – sep 17, 1787)
Description:
From May 14th to September 17th, 1787, the Constitutional Convention was held in Philadelphia to try and fix the problems with the Articles of Confederation. Instead of fixing the problems, they discarded the Articles of Confederation and wrote the Constitution of the United States. The Constitutional Convention was historically significant BECAUSE the delegates at the convention wrote the Constitution of the United States, which is the document that our government and society is still based on today.
