The Hundred Years' War (jan 1, 1337 – jan 1, 1453)
Description:
The war began in 1337 and continued 116 years to 1453. The French were expanding their empire, which left England to only occupy Guyenne. The war began when the king of France claimed Guyenne to be his, therefore causing the king of England to make himself the king of France. The war was made up of four phases, with France getting weaker and England getting stronger during the first three phases. The fourth phase was started when King Henry of England invaded France and won.
