Jackson Presidency (mar 4, 1829 – mar 4, 1837)
Description:
Jackson won the presidency by promising jobs to wealthy donators that gave him campaign money. This meant that once he won, the spoils system allowed him to put anyone he wanted into many government positions. This lead to an inefficient government that was did not have the experience to deal with the issues it faced. Jackson was also the creator of the Indian Removal Act.
