Jefferson Presidency (mar 4, 1801 – mar 4, 1809)
Description:
After the election ended in a tie, the house elected Jefferson as the third President of the United States over Aaron Burr. The biggest achievement during Jefferson's Presidency was the Louisiana Purchase which more than doubled the size of the young nation. Jefferson also helped shape the politics of our country.
