After slavery finally ended, British colonies were replaced with indentured labor. Most indentured laborers came from India and China, Britain had transported about 2 million Indian indentured workers to 19 colonies from 1834 to the time WW2 ended when Gandhi managed to finally brought attention to the exploitation of India's citizens.Added to timeline:
