European Middle Ages (jan 1, 400 – jan 1, 1400)
Description:
The middle ages are often referred to as the Dark Ages due to the lack of scientific and cultural advancement in Europe, at the time, feudalism was the dominating political system. The European middle ages occurred between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. After the fall of the Roman empire, much of its influence, culture, and knowledge was lost to the ages. During this time, illnesses like tuberculosis, influenza, smallpox, and mumps, swept the continent, decreasing the population greatly. With the close of the Hundred Years War, the Middle Ages had ended as well.
