What we now deem New Imperialism. Is really just the most recent era of colonization, and expansion, by western civilization, the U.S., and Japan.

This colonization took place mostly in the form of claiming territory in Africa, Asia, and many island countries.

New Imperialism can also represent the many technological advancements that happened during this time period.

New Imperialism seemed to have started sometime in 1815, with the congress of Vienna. And ended after the Soviet Union annexed Severnaya Zemlya, In 1933.
