The great depression (aug 1, 1929 – mar 1, 1933)
Description:
After the Wall street crash Australia’s economy like many other countries had a great economic struggle. This led to Australia borrowed numerus amounts of large cash to try and keep Australia going. This saw unemployment rise by 32%. Although Australia did recover it took a decade to rebuild the Australian economy and get it back to what it was before the great depression. Australia learnt about the economy and in a way the great depression helped Australia and led us to create a stronger and greater economy.
