Canberra became the capital of Australia (mar 12, 1913 – mar 12, 1913)
Description:
Ever since Australia federated, they were looking for a capital city. Melbourne and Sydney both wanted the position and had multiple arguments over it. After multiple debates over it and multiple votes they decided on a compromise. They decided to find a town located approximately in the middle of both of them and named it the capital of Australia. On the 12th of March 1913 Canberra was named the capital of Australia, and still is the capital from this day on.
