The First Industrial Revolution was a period that took place about 1760 to sometime in between 1840 and 1860. It was a time in Europe and the United States were transitioning to new manufacturing processes. Cotton and Steam power became more widely exploited. It was also the rise to electricity and the transcontinental railroad.
