New Imperialism (jan 1, 1775 – jan 1, 1939)
Description:
New Imperialism was a time when there was colonial expansion by Western European powers, the United States, Russia and Japan. During this time countries had many rivalries and conquests to get more territories and resources. It was at this time that most of Asia and Africa was conquered (by individual countries). Asia and African could be conquered during this time because of the technological advancements that gave conquerors the transportation and firepower they needed in the quantities they needed to do so. This was do to the First and Second Industrial Revolutions. This period of time ended around the beginning of the second world war.Added to timeline:
