War On Terror (sep 16, 2001 – may 23, 2013)
Description:
President Bush pushed congress for military operations against all "Terrorists" after the attacks of 9/11.
The offense was originally focused more on the organization Al-Qaeda. Though they opened their targets to other groups such as the Taliban, and all terrorist groups.
The War on Terror was deemed officially over by Barack Obama, on 23 May 2013. Though there are still many military installations posted overseas to keep the peace, and assist the people.
Operations such as enduring freedom, are accredited to overthrowing the dictatorship, and putting president Hamid Karzai in power.
