The Renaissance was a period of time from the 15th century to the 17th century ish, we don't know exactly when it started or ended. Some people think that it was more of a modern thing because of all that happened, but some people put it as kinda part of the Middle Ages since it was still somewhat medieval. Either way, the Renaissance was an important time for most of Europe. There were many painters and inventors that did their work during this time such as Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. The term "renaissance person" comes from this because many people in this time did a lot of things, such as how Leonardo da Vinci was both an inventor and a painter.Added to timeline:
