World War 1 (jun 28, 1914 – jun 28, 1919)
Description:
On the 28th of June 1914 an Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinad was assassinated by South Slav nationalist Gavrilo Princip. The war was stated by the leaders of Germany and Austria-Hungry. The assassination was to attempt to destroy its Balkan rival Serbia. All countries had territory amis. Germany had formally surrendered on November 11 1918, and all nations had agreed to stop fighting. On June 28 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations, including Britain, France, Italy and Russia, signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.
