World War 2 (sep 1, 1939 – sep 2, 1945)

Description:

On September 1st 1939 Germany invaded Poland beginning the second world war. France and Britain, who were Poland's ally immediately declared war on Germany. Germany invaded Denmark and Norway in April 1940. One month later Germany invaded Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. Germany also had control over the French colonies in Africa and Middle East. The German Nazi soldiers began to massacre many people. They put many blacks, disabled people, Jews and Jehovah witnesses. Over 6 million Jews were murdered. The allies closed in on Berlin in April 1945. In August 1945 the U.S dropped two bombs on japan. One in Hiroshima and the other bomb in Nagasaki. On September 2nd 1945 the Japanese signed a document announcing their surrender.
