First female Prime Minister (jun 24, 2010 – jun 26, 2013)

Description:

Having the first female prime minister for Australia was a huge development in our history. Australia was finally treating women equally. Julia Gillard, the 27th Prime Minister part of the Labour party served women's rights and fought against people who didn't treat women equally.

This was impactful for Australia because we were fighting against gender equality and trying to see women as high as people see men.
