French Revolution (sep 24, 1940 – aug 28, 1941)

Description:

The French Revolution was a time period of 10 years in which the French people overthrew the monarchy and seized control of the government. Before the french revolution, the country was divided into three groups: the first estate which was made up of church leaders, the second estate which was made up of nobles. The third estate which consisted of the poor, who paid the bulk of the takes while the nobles lived in luxury. The third estate created a revolution. The darkest part of the revolution, known as the reign of terror, began in 1793. During this time, anyone suspected of being disloyal to the revolution was executed by guillotine. The revolution ended with the rise of Napoleon.
