The French-Dutch War (dec 24, 1800 – jun 5, 1811)
Description:
Looking to capture Dutch-held territory south of the Rhine river, France invades the Netherlands.
After defeating the Dutch military by the fall of 1801, a disorganized conundrum of guerilla units continues a war of resistance that leads to great amounts of attrition among French troops.
By 1811, the guerilla campaign fizzles out.
