Description:
Alma Levant Hayden was an expert in spectrophotometry. She was promoted to Chief of the Spectrophotometer Research Branch in the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the FDA in 1963, possibly becoming the first African-American scientist at the FDA. One of her most known accomplishments was her contribution to exposing Krebiozen as a cancer-fighting drug.Added to timeline:
