The age of Discovery was a time when Europeans began to sail around the world discovering new routes and trading partners. They were searching for places to trade their gold, silver and spices. The age of discovery was important because maps and navigation were made for future travelers and explorers. One of the causes of the Age of Discover was that Spanish explorers came to America in search for gold and silver. Christopher Columbus's voyage played a huge part in the Age of Discovery because of the discovery of America. Ultimately we learn that the world would not be as advanced without the Age of Discovery and those who played a part in it.Added to timeline:
