Alice Ball was an African American chemist who developed the Ball Method in 1915 . The ball method was the most effective treatment for leprosy during the early 20th century. From the Chaulmoogra Oil she was able to make the Leprosy Drug. Before, Chaulmoogra oil was insoluble in water, making it difficult for the human body to absorb. Alice Ball created an injectable form of the Chaulmoogra Oil.Added to timeline:
