Description:
Friedrich Wilhelm Serturner was a german pharmacist. Serturner was the first to successfully isolate and extract morphine crystals from the tarry poppy seed juice in 1804. He experimented the drug on rats and dogs discovered a sleep-inducing molecule. he experimented on himself and discovered that morphine was safe for human consumption. morphine brought pain relief.
