Lavoisier full name is Antoine Lavoisier. He was a well known french chemist during the 18th century. In 1778-1783, His career goal was on chemical reactivity and combustion. He is credited for discovering elements such as oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and silicon in 1772. Through experiments, he was able to discover that water was not an element but a compound. Oxygen and hydrogen were discovered as elements(. he concluded that matter is transformed during chemical reactions. he created a metric system of chemistry and elaborated how flammable air give rise to chemical reactions and the techniques needed to perform chemical reactions. Today he is known as the father of modern chemistry.
