Description:
A war in the Holy Roman Empire that was created mostly due to religious regions. Some of the main combatants were the Holy Roman Forces, France, Sweden, and Denmark, as some came in for territorial gains and others wanted to fight for religious causes. It left Germany completely fractured and ended as the last major war of religion in Europe. (Palmer, 136-9)
