Description:
Analyzed urban housing markets in a manner both similar to Alonso's and complementary to it, in that Muth takes into account housing production and racial segregation as a reflection of "preferences." His primary contribution was in his book, Cities and Housing: The Spatial Pattern of Urban Residential Land Use, and subsequent publications. Together with the work of Alonso and Mills, this became known as the Alonso-Muth-Mills model.Added to timeline:
