The Wars of Roses (jan 1, 1455 – jan 1, 1485)
Description:
1455-1485 The Wars of Roses
The War of Roses was a war of English secession between the Lancasters and the Yorks, both descendants of Edward III. It was called the war of roses because the symbol of York is a white rose, and the symbol for Lancster is a red rose. The war ended in 1485 when Henry Tudor, a Lancster raised in exile, invaded England from France and married a York, starting the Tudor rule in england.
