1327-1377 Edward III King of EnglandEdward III took control of England at the age of 17 in 1327 after he killed his mother's lover, who had seized the throne for himself. France and England feuded over who owned Gascony, and in the late 1330s invaded France starting the 100 Years War. He won the first half of the war with unbelievable odds at battles like Poitiers and Crecy. His rule was legendary, and the closest England will ever get to a King Arthur.
