Eleven prekingdom (jan 1, 500 BC – jan 1, 75 BC)
Description:
This is when major historical records began being taken by the elves. These records consist of the farming techniques of the elves all the way to the many spottings of orcs. This is also when a loose idea of elven de jure land begins. The records from this time indicate the elves were living in small towns and villages with a feudal system. The elven "kings" would go to war with other "kings" to procure more land and resources. These towns and villages were very separated from other towns that were not of the same rulership and leaving your town was forbidden as a serf. The dragonborn began trading with the elves during this time using magical speech items. During the prekingdom, the elves were developing as a people and this is believed to be when the elven language started as we know it now. In the last 50 years of the prekingdom the first recorded orcish incursion began but many more had happened before this that had never been recorded. The constant orcish threat finally results in the first king of the elves, a relatively young commander of the largest elven kingdom named Kiel Yerin. Kiel was a war hero to the elves, a trained strategist in both managing a kingdom and war, and when looking for a formal protection from the orcs they turned to him.
