Description:
- Mao became weary of Lin's (and the PLA's) growing influence- The favour of the party was turned against him
- Lin participated in an assassination plot of Mao (staged by his son) but it was leaked (by his daughter)
- They fled on an aeroplane but it crashed over Mongolia (from an accident)
- Lin's denouncement caused some to doubt the party's and Mao's word, as Lin used to be revered
