The Republic Dark Age (jan 1, 6286 – dec 1, 6598)

Description:

A period that marked the final crumbling and failure of the Old Republic in its ability to defend its member states in the face of pressing resource shortages and a resurgent Sith faction. Through the Dark Ages, Jedi took an increasingly active role in defending and leading the Republic, eventually leading to the Jedi administrating vast swaths of the Republic as Jedi Lords.
