Raja Man Singh I of Amer (rank 7000) (dec 21, 1550 – jul 6, 1614)
Description:
Raja Man Singh was a devotee of Shri Krishna. He had a seven-storied temple of Krishna constructed for Srila Rupa Goswami, disciple of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, in Vrindavan. The cost of construction was one crore rupees at that time. The four-storey temple is still present at Vrindavan. He also constructed a temple of Krishna at his capital, Amber. The place is now known as "Kanak Vrindavan" near Amber Ghati of Jaipur.
Raja Man Singh was favourite general of Emperor Akbar and gave title of Farzand (son). Raja Man Singh was among Navratnas or Nine gems of Royal Court. Akbars reign is incomplete without him, Raja Man Singh and his brother Madhava Singh were just like two arms of Emperor Akbar. Akbar made him Prime Minister of Mughal forces. Man Singh expanded mughal empire towards Bihar, Bengal and orissa and was made governor of this places. Raja Man Singh was given a Mansab Rank of 7000 ,it was the highest mansabdari rank in emperor's court. He also commanded mughal army in battle of haldighati against maharana pratap. Man Singh was so close to emperor that he had guts to refuse Akbars new faith called din i ilahi by saying I have respect for every religion but my faith is only on Lord Krishna,so i cannot follow any other faith .His brother Madhava Singh and his son jagat Singh also enjoyed high rank in emperor's court. Rupchand and Jaganath kachhawa of Amber clan also received high mansabs. 13 other generals of Amber kachhawa clan also enjoyed high rank in emperor's court.
