John D. Rockefeller (jul 8, 1839 – mar 23, 1937)
Description:
Rockefeller was the richest man in america during the age of monopoly capitalism. His oil business was very nearly the only in the country and was eventually broken up under the Sherman Antitrust Act. He became a philanthropist and donated billions of dollars to charity and other causes.
