The Long March (oct 1, 1934 – oct 1, 1935)
Description:
The Communists of China were forced from their base in Jiangxi province and were forced to travel 6000 miles to flee the Nationalists. Along the way, they gained support from the people by seizing lands from the rich and giving it to the poor, allowing the Communists to replace all the men they lost during the march as well as starting its power base to win the civil war.
