Description:
The US military was also treated for a wide variety of diseases before being sent oversea. Usually, soldiers were vaccinated for smallpox, typhoid and tetanus, although soldiers assigned to tropical or extremely rural areas were also vaccinated against cholera, typhus, yellow fever and bubonic plague. These vaccines were vital to the health of the soldiers. [9]
