Second Seminole War (jan 1, 1835 – jan 1, 1842)

Description:

The Second Seminole war is when the US forced the Seminole Indians to move from their reservation in central Florida to a Creek reservation west of the Mississippi River. This was caused by the Indian Removal Act enacted by Andrew Jackson. The Dade Massacre started the Second Seminole War where 180 Seminoles attacked the troops from Fort Brooke to Fort King killing all of them except three.
