Reign of Charels V (jan 1, 1500 – jan 1, 1558)

Description:

France was his chief rival. Spanish armies defeated him three times and so France finally gave up on its claim. Muslim forces posed other threats to Charles and so he went to war with defense of Vienna. Later he fought Muslim pirates who raided his coast towns in Spain and Italy. He was able to conquer Mexico and Peru. He was devoted roman catholic, but was unable to stop the reformation form happeneing
