Description:

depression came to be viewed from the weak, and inheritable from there the view of weakness couldn't be changed. Majority of people in this condition were locked up or shunned. later parts of the enlightenment doctors began to think aggression was a root of the condition. Treatment including dieting, musical, and even drugs was now primarily used. There were a few other "treatments" they used as well, such as water immersion and/or spinning this was thought to put brain contents into the right position.
