Description:
Wars between France and the Habsburgs for the dominance in Italy.
The culminating point occured in the times of Charles V HRE and Francis I of France.
Charles V won the decisive battle of Pavia in 1525, taking Francis I captive, who promised not to continue the war, but broke his word right after being released.
The wars concluded in 1559 with the peace in Cateau-Cambresis.
