WWII (jan 1, 1937 – oct 12, 1945)

Description:

The Japanese Army occupied Manchuria, a Chinese province, using as a pretext a faked incident on the main railroad.

The Japanese wanted to completely destroy the Kuomintang government so they started committing horrible acts on the Chinese people, such as the Nanjing massacre where many were raped and murdered.

Japan changed strategy by focusing on the South and disrupting China’s ports and import ability. As the war progressed, Japan began to receive stiff resistance and were experiencing financial struggles because the war was expensive.

As the war progressed, Japan got more and more enemies and countries like the Soviet Union and the United States were the biggest and strongest compared to Japan

After the United States dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan, the japanese surrendered and were forced to give up all their gains.

Communists and Nationalist put their civil war on hold, and instead focus on the Japanese.
