separated into three periods between Catholics (HRE) and different countries mainly protestant
Bohemian: Catholic holy roman emperor was an extreme advocate for Catholicism which posed a threat to Protestants. Protestants revolted with the defenestration of Prague. Maximillan+HRE+Genral Tilly vs Calvinists vs Frederick V at the Battle of WHite in which the hapsburgs were victorious.
Danish Period: Christian IV of Denamrk vs Ferdinand II +Wallenstein and tilly. Rebels took Prague. They declared Christian deposed and elected Frederick V.
Swedish Period: France and Sweden align agaisnt the Hapsburgs. The Battle of Lutzen was a success for protestants and the treaty of prague ended up strengthening the Hapsburgs abd weakening the power of German Protestants.
