Description:
Many peasants had an over load of work, although they where unable to even buy bread they where still forced to pay many taxes and still not benefit from economic improvement. Inspired by humanist and Lutheran beliefs, they created the Twelve Articles, which explained the civil rights they felt they deserved. In 1525, Luther ordered German princes to put an end to the hysteria; over 100,000 rebels were killed.Added to timeline:
