Verdun Slaughter (feb 21, 1916 – jan 4, 1917)

Description:

318 days long, the Anglo-French forced battle the Germans for the Verdun fortress, in hope to finally turn the tide of the war on the Western Front; however, the Germans take the troops previously used in the East to the Verdun trenches, encircle and finally take the fort. In total, over 330 000 people have been lost by both sides combined during the slaughter.
