Description:
He began the Tudor dynasty by marrying Elizabeth York to create an alliance between Lancaster and York. He married his son off to Catherine of Aragon. But his son died and Henry VIII married her against the church's wishes because they considered this incest but Catherine insisted that the marriage was never consumated and therefore null and void.
