Smallpox Outbreak (apr 1, 1789 – jan 1, 1796)
Description:
On the 1st of April 1789 Smallpox broke out in Sydney. It was estimated that 50-70 percent of Aboriginal people died from the outbreak in Australia. In 1796, an English doctor Edward Jenner created a vaccine that would save millions of lives to come.
